I’ve had to say Goodbye to two good friends this week, something which makes me feel sad but which, bearing everything in mind, is understandable.
As many know I have built a small, select circle of Internet friends through StumbleUpon; people from around the world I have never met, will never meet, who have shared their interests with me, shared my interests, and given me an insight into things which – when you remember how new I still am to this whole Internet world – I might never otherwise have experienced. It is difficult to express my feelings when people decide that it is time to move on, time to do other things, although I can see their reasoning. StumbleUpon, and certain other websites, take up a great deal of time, can literally take over an Internet life and almost control it. Eventually we all have to choose what we want to do, how we wish to spend our time either here in the Internet or in Real Life and, let’s be honest, Real Life should take priority over the cyberworld.
So I would just like to thank my two friends for their time, their patience and the wonderful shares – the wealth of inspiration – they have given me and hope that, one day, we’ll meet in the Internet again, share time together and catch up on all the things we’ve been doing since.
Love & Kisses, Viki.
