Learning From Spam

Posted by Viktoria Michaelis on December 27, 2012 in Internet |

I think we can all agree, spam is something that none of us wants in our inbox, on our web sites or blogs. Still, there are times when it can be enlightening, even if the spammers themselves probably have absolutely no inkling of what they have sent and whether it is relevant to the web site they are plaguing or not. So, at the risk of having something a spammer can put into one of the many search engines to find me again, I give you an Ayn Rand quotation:

A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.

Fine, I would exchange one of the words – no prizes to guessing which one – but otherwise, yes. I’m not in competition with anyone else on this blog, it is just the sheer pleasure I gain from writing, from having many comments and from knowing that a few people gain some pleasure from glancing through my thoughts now and then.

And a final word to all the spammers who flood by trash can… thank you too! Each one of your visits here raises my ranking!

Love & Kisses, Viki.
