What Were They Thinking?

Posted by Viktoria Michaelis on October 16, 2013 in Adult (nsfw) |

I guess the look of innocence should be enough to placate any parent who comes across images of their child on Facebook, or elsewhere, which leave precious little to the imagination. They’ve raised their child as best they can, told them to be proud of themselves, that they can achieve anything they put their mind to, and then…

And then the being proud of themselves turns into something which many parents, especially in these days of quick shares on social media, of harassment, stalking, cyber-bullying and everything else, opens them up to vicious, lewd or worse attacks. This is not a case of revenge porn or anything similar, but of those who produce and publish their own ‘special’ images and incite others.

Don’t get me wrong, I have a special place in my heart for images of women, an even bigger place for women themselves and, of course, the biggest place for my woman, but… does it have to be like this?

Who is going to be the person hurt when the comments start rolling in, when the images get spread across the Internet – yes, I am as guilty of spreading as anyone else – and invite the sort of attention no one in their right mind desires? What happens when the images get passed from one cellphone to the next, at High School, in college, amongst the neighbors?

I guess there is still a little left to the imagination, but as little as could possibly be imagined. And who looks at the innocent – or posing innocent? – expression anyway, when there are clearly other attributes to be admired, scoffed over, passed on to friends and colleagues with an appropriate comment?

Selfies are fine, nothing against them at all, but some images of younger – and they are of legal age, but even so – women just make me want to disappear even further from view than I have already managed to do.

Love & Kisses, Viki.
