No Football Fan, But….

It’s difficult to avoid: the World Cup is absolutely everywhere you look, no matter what you happen to be looking for! Personally I was just browsing through the headlines – the most popular news reports of the day according to Alexa – and there were basically two stories: Luke Grimes wasn’t happy about being cast as a bisexual in True Blood and quit, and Germany won against the USA.

Apparently, since Ghana and Portugal were also playing and Ghana lost, that means that one losing team – the United States – gets to go through to the next round and one winning team – Portugal – doesn’t.

No, I don’t want anyone to explain to me what FIFA says about goal difference and how everything is calculated. I’m well aware that a loser can win in the end, no matter the odds.

Still, it’s good to see the USA celebrating a loss so openly. Normally they claim it as a win – which, I suppose it is really – no matter what the outcome: and I’m not just talking football!

Love & Kisses, Viki.

The question and its answer cannot exist in the same universe.

These last twelve months have given the USA a lot of such wins to celebrate in the same spirit. At home and abroad.
