Ever seen those dating sites on the Internet which promise you so much? Guarantees that you’ll find the perfect partner for the rest of your life, to fulfill you and your dreams? More to the point, have you ever tried filling out a profile for one of these sites which is designed to excite the interests of exactly the right person?

As the person above says, admittedly somewhat tongue-in-cheek, it is not quite as easy as you might imagine. There are certain phrases which, it seems, everyone uses. Certain descriptions which might well apply to you, but which are so worn and used up they are boring, unexciting, commonplace. We all have our ideal for a partner and a distinct impression of ourselves, but it seems to be the same as everyone else has.
Which means, when you think about it, no matter which of the normal phrases and descriptions you employ, you’re bound to find someone who matches simply because it applies to everyone: the long walks on the beach; candle-lit dinners; child-friendly, animal-loving, hand-holding with an interest in the finer things of life such as visiting museums, reading a book in front of the open hearth, collecting rare postage stamps.
Imagination is the thing. You want to find someone exciting, someone who will take your breath away, someone with more than just the usual, more than just the same as everyone else. They can’t be too young or too old – unless you’re an older man looking for a barbie-girl or a Cougar looking for a toy-boy – and heaven forbid that they are ugly!
Well built, strong of character, protective when the need arises. The possibilities are endless, but the probabilities limited.

You might just end up with all the right qualities, but not exactly the picture of a partner you had in your head when you first signed up to the dating site, when you first sent them your money and believed the Guarantee!
Perhaps, in our technologically advanced world, face time, seeing a person and actually talking to them, getting to know them without first chatting on a screen from miles away, is the best answer after all.
Love & Kisses, Viki.
