Selfies: Hide Those Assets!

Posted by Viktoria Michaelis on November 15, 2014 in Absolute Hot! |

And we’re back with another riveting post about the art of Selfies, those wonderful self-portraits which do not seem to know any fashion limits, and which are so sought after by the masses, by hackers and those with far too much time on their hands!

Today I thought I would concentrate on those selfies which are not quite so revealing as many might hope, but which certainly excite the imagination. For me, a sexy selfie is one where the viewer cannot see absolutely everything, right down to the last pimple, but has something left to the imagination. I find them considerably more interesting, more erotic than a full frontal, nude, bare-it-all image. With my first image we see how some brave women manage to hide their bits and pieces, but still capture an interesting photograph, although there are other means to maintain modesty.

Why do we have hands and arms, when not to use them for more than just holding a smart phone or a camera?

And, of course, there are plenty of other things which can be employed to protect and hide, things which just happen to be hanging around in the bathroom – still one of the most popular areas for self-shot proponents – such as cabinets.

Hands and arms, though, are possibly the best means. They allow the viewer a good idea of what has been hidden whilst moving the photograph out of the strictly adult section and into the more user-friendly, viewer-friendly category or erotic. Assets can be well hidden – yes, the assets here are clearly boobs – but not so hidden, depending on size! – that no idea remains of what has been hidden, what we cannot see.

Of course, we all know what it is that remains out of sight, but it is this small piece of skin, the nipple, which causes so many people to go overboard and start adding black marks, obliterating everything which might be termed unsuitable for children and younger adults – all depending on how strict the laws of a region are.

Which is, to me, a very strange thing. We, as women, have these assets and use them to raise children. A breast-fed child has the nipple stuffed in their face – to be blunt about it – from the first moment onwards so that they can be fed. Why are they suddenly, at a certain age, no longer acceptable? How can we, as a society, justify hiding that very part of our body which we have forced upon a child? Perhaps forced is the wrong word to use, but it is one frequently used when it comes to the idea that people are forced to see naked women, or men, whenever surfing through the Internet, or when browsing the more innocent sections of a newsstand.

We are only ‘forced’ to see them, ‘forced’ to acknowledge their existence when they are paraded as something special, something out of the ordinary. And yet men, often with far bigger boobies than some women, can parade their nipples, their hairy assets above the waistline, with impunity. Naturally this semi-secrecy has something enticing about it, but, since the nipples are an integral part of the body, why shouldn’t they be just as acceptable as a belly button?

Love & Kisses, Viki.
