Slightly Underdressed?

Hard to believe it’s the middle of winter, and everyone is wrapped up in their warmest clothing as they hurry to and from work, to the shops, about their daily lives. Hard to believe because, if you happen to be wandering through Wujiaochang Station on your way into town, you might just see a few women who are not dressed for the weather.

Clearly this young woman has something else on her mind, and it is not stepping out onto the street and taking her chances with wind and rain. Clearly, she is waiting for someone or something.

And this person is keeping her waiting, which is really the job of the woman, not the man. Here I am, assuming she is waiting for a man, which is really sexist and I clearly ought to know better! However, taking all things into account, if I was the woman she was due to meet up with, I’d not be late.

I’d not be the one who leaves her standing for five minutes, half an hour, even for five seconds at Wujiaochang Station, with all those warmly dressed passersby and their smartphones, their cameras, their thoughts and desires. No, when you come to look at the whole picture, I would be early…

and if I was her father, I’d be not only early but carrying a thick overcoat to warm her up too!

Love & Kisses, Viki.
